Certified Blackjack is a turf-type bermudagrass. Blackjack has proven well with color ratings in national Turf Trials and most locations. One unique quality is fast germination, up to 7 days faster than similar Bermudas. Blackjack was developed in the second generations of bermudagrass. At this time we are only on the 3rd generations of new releases but anticipate possible new varieties in 2010. Blackjack may be used on all premium turf applications such as golf course fairways, roughs, sports fields and home lawns.
Blackjack seed is normally not coated which means the consumer will get 98% purse seed with less than 2% inert material requiring lower seeding rate.

Princess is the most current release of turf Bermudagrass and its color and density of growth can be easily seen by an untrained eye. Princess is synthetic hybrid plant that is a first for a seeded type Bermuda. This plant can tolerate and likes high-end maintenance and will reward the owner with some of the most beautiful Bermuda that has some shade tolerance.
Princess does take longer to get established. A simple way to explain Princess is that the leafs are set 2 to 5 times closer to each other on a stem. Because of of leaf placement it takes longer for grow in at establishment. Princess does appear to require less water than many of the sod bermudas and has good wear tolerance for traffic.

After over 40 years of production Common had changed with differences even in the production fields. These differences mean that not all Common Bermuda is genetically the same and for turf use Sahara offers a consistent product and is recommended over common for a Turf.
