Nora oats were released in 1967 from the State of Arkansas and is considered a Red Winter Oat or a Red Rustproof oat from the 1865’s. With this many years of production Nora Oats longevity speaks for it’s traits. One example of this is that in 2001 Nora was the top grain yielder out of 12 varieties in Bushland, Texas. Nora is a short plump oat with good straw strength and is a excellent grain yielder. Justin Seed is the only company that can still offer certified seed.
