Incorporated in 1958, Justin Seed’s original purpose was to produce and promote quality seed. While our product line and uses for the seed have changed, our first goal is still the seed. Justin Seed Company is comprised of three major product lines: Seed, Fertilizer, and Erosion Control. These three products work together in a harmonious way, providing traditional and innovative care to meet your lawn or pasture’s needs.
Blend of three top performing turf grass varieties: Sultan, Sydney and Mohawk. All three varieties have increased turf density for excellent wear tolerance, dark green color and medium to medium fine leaf texture.
Blend of Giant, Chilly Verde and Jacob Bermuda grass. This mixture was put together in 2002 to help improve the forage production of straight Giant Bermuda grass.
Good pasture and Turfgrass. Short grower--6" to 1'. Very drought resistant requiring very low maintenance as a turfgrass. Buffalograss is a dominant short prairie grass frequently found in overgrazed pastures.
Medium-dark green color and medium-fine leaf texture. This seeded bermudagrass forms a dense turf and has excellent heat, drought, and wear tolerance.
Fast growing warm season annual, multi-cut, drought resistant forage grass obtaining heights of 5-7 feet tall. Produces high quality forage that is Safe for all your livestock needs including horses. While called a millet it is not a true millet.
Mixture of Buffalograss and Blue Grama. Selected for there short growth height these natives are very drought tolerant and should require little or no watering.

We also specialize in turf grasses, fertilizer, wildflowers, native and improved grasses.In 2015 we welcomed an increase in seed cleaning and native grass harvesting capacity. Justin Seed Company has stood as one of the greatest seed providers in the state of Texas for over 60 years.
In the fall of 1939, E. C. Tally purchased farmland near Justin, Texas, and began growing wheat and oats. Justin Seed Company was incorporated in 1958 by the second generation seedsman. The development of hybrid forages led us to expand into forage production and the introduction of related products to the agricultural market. Through the years, we have welcomed an increase in seed cleaning and our native grass harvesting capacity.
