Introduced bunch grass that is adapted to the southwest. Has a rapid growth. Minimum temperature is 12F and grows in pH 4.5-8 range in coarse to medium soils with low salinity tolerance.
Good all-around warm season grass for turf, pasture and erosion control. Low growing, disease and insect resistant that once established, it is drought, heat and salt tolerant and will withstand a lot of abuse.
Heavy producer. Best in pure stands. Long root system. Old growth not palatable. Weeping lovegrass prefers a light-textured, well-drained soil, and will thrive on soils of low fertility.
Like other Tall Fescue this is normally a permanent cool season grass. This blend contains Titan Ltd. which has rhizomes that allows it to spread and has more heat/drought tolerance because of the larger root system.
Improvement over annual for grazing, especially in rust prone areas (high rainfall).
