Established by Justin Seed Co. for a fast germination bermudagrass.  Bermudagrass, like many grasses, can vary on length of time for germination from one variety to another.  Some varieties can take up to 3 weeks in well-maintained soils to germinate.  Our Rapido blend contains propriety knowledge developed from over 60 years of experience and testing. Rapido currently contains 4 different varieties, including added cold tolerance.
Justin Seed only sells Rapido Bermudagrass as hulled, non-coated seed.  Industry accepts that hulled seed is faster in germination and stand establishment.  However, we have discovered coated seed is slower in germination and only helps if disease pressure is present.
If you’re wanting a high-quality turfgrass, we would not recommend Rapido.  Characteristics that provide fast germination can continue during the plants’ life by providing more top growth.Â
