FEEDING RECOMMENDATIONS: Provide one tub for every 5-25 head. Average consumption should be 2 -3 ounces per head per day. Product should be available continuously. Locate tubs near a source of water, salt or loafing area. On open range locate tubs where animals congregate, near gaps or along trails. Variables in consumption could be temperature, humidity, type of animal, animal size, stage of production and animal health. The quality, source availability of roughage and/or light grain may also affect consumption. Measure product upon first introduction to figure consumption. Tub holds approximately 2 lb. per inch. Increase consumption by decreasing number of head per tub or by adding another tub. To reduce consumption, increase number of head per tub or move tubs away from congregating areas. If this fails, remove a tub. Always provide a fresh, clean source of water and free.
