3/8″ pellet formulated for mature horses at maintenance or as a forage substitute for all classes of horses. It is a 12% protein and 4% fat low starch feed fortified with minerals and vitamins.
INGREDIENTS: Dehydrated alfalfa meal, roughage products (35%), processed grain by-products, salt, vegetable oil, calcium carbonate, manganese sulfate, copper sulfate, cobalt sulfate, zinc sulfate, ethylenediamine dihydriodide, ferrous sulfate, sodium selenite, vitamin A acetate, vitamin D3 supplement, vitamin E supplement.
FEEDING DIRECTIONS
Mature Horses at Maintenance: As a complete feed, feed 1 to 1 1/2 lbs. per 100 lbs. of body weight per day in at least 2 divided feedings, plus 2 to 5 lbs. of hay or other forage.
All Other Classes of Horses: This feed can be used as a forage substitute and may replace up to 75% of a grass hay or grass/alfalfa forage program on a weight basis. Continue to feed the appropriate concentrate feed for the classification of horse being fed.
Always feed at least 2 to 3 lbs. of long-stem roughage to maintain proper gut function. Make all ration changes gradually over a 2 to 3 week period. Feed by weight and make all substitutions on a weight basis. Provide plenty of fresh, clean water at all times. Provide free-choice mineral to broodmares and growing horses in pastures. Do not feed moldy or insect infested feed. Consult you MFM feed representative for customized feeding programs for specific situations, or if you have further questions.
