Paspalum is a very salt tolerant plant. Used as a turf grass and will adapt to being used as a golf green or even a rough depending how you manage it. Paspalum is so salt tolerant that it can grow along the sea shorelines and be irrigated with water with some salt levels present. Weed control in some areas are very limited since salt levels can eliminate other plants. It is a warm season plant that requires full sun. Currently mainly used on golf courses and high-end turf areas close to areas with high level of salt water. Is a very good choice for soil reclamation and erosion control on soils with high levels of salt. Performs better with low quality water versus drought.
