Largest use is turfgrass. Used to overseed warm season turf or as primary turfgrass. In adaptable regions plant 2-10 lb. per 1000 sqft. In many areas of Southern US this plants dies out in the summer due to heat and is not a Perennial plant. It does have much better turf qualities than annual with half the mowing requirements of annual.
